I enjoy trout fly fishing so much, I’ve made it my business. For more than thirty years I’ve been exploring the rivers and lakes around New Zealand, especially the Turangi/Taupo region - one of the world’s premier trout fishing destinations.

I discovered fly fishing at 13 after deciding that I needed a use for all the flies I had been tying. That’s right - I learned to tie trout flies before I’d ever held a rod! Years ago, I taught my parents to fish and more recently my own family. Now that I’ve made trout fly fish guiding my business, I can share that passion with you and maybe your family.

Expert or novice fisherman, you’ll find I can make the most of your trout fishing experience here in Taupo. Whether you’ve never caught a trout before, or you’re a pro who could use a little extra local knowledge, you’ll find I offer a great experience.
